VOIDWORM

Listens first. Wrecks second.
Distortion that reacts to what you feed it: four parallel reactors follow the dynamics, transients and texture of your signal.
Version 1.1.1 · Free and open source · AGPL-3.0

The installer places the plug-in in the standard VST3 folder, C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3, and the standalone application under Program Files. Nothing is written anywhere else.
My DAW cannot find it.
Rescan your plug-in folders — most hosts only look at startup. VOIDWORM is VST3 only and 64-bit, so a host scanning just VST2, or running as 32-bit, will not list it.
Is it really free?
Yes. Free of charge and open source under AGPL‑3.0, with the full source on GitHub. No trial, no account, no licence key.
Can I use it on commercial releases?
Yes, with no restriction. The licence governs the source code of the plug-in, not the audio you make with it — your recordings are yours.
Does it run on macOS or Linux?
There are no official builds yet; the releases are Windows x64. The source does build on Linux — a contributor confirmed it — but that is not a supported target.
How heavy is it on CPU?
It ships at 2× oversampling with HQ mode off, the light setting. Raising oversampling to 4× or 8×, or enabling HQ, costs considerably more; those are for rendering rather than tracking.
